Ka Mauna Kapu (The sacred Mountain)
We are Mauna Kea is a part of a movement to protect the sacred Hawaiian mauna (mountain) from development.
This design was created by Big Island artist Malialuika by hand drawing ʻohe Kapala (bamboo stamping) mauna designs as an overlay onto her hand drawn image of Poliʻahu the Hawaiian Snow Goddess who resides on Mauna Kea.
All profits from the sale of these products will be donated to KAHEA Hawaiian Environmental Alliance or Mauna Kea legal defense fund to assist in preserving and protecting Mauna Kea. Designed by Malialuika.
